Florida lovin'

While many people gaze at picture for a few seconds and move on, I believe a picture is truly worth a thousand words. A good photograph should make a strong impression, as well as illustrate the personality of the artist. Since I've been in Florida for the last week, I decided to try to capture the beauty of nature in this radiant environment. What do you think?

In addition, I'd like to share a few of my favorite quick and simple photography tricks to create an "artsy" masterpiece:

1. Shoot at an unexpected angle.
2. Crop the original photograph in ways that will keep the viewer guessing.
3. Make the photo black n white, but always adjust the filters by hand to capture the correct values.
4. Change your shutter speed (exposure time) if you'd like to take a photograph quicker or if you need more time to capture minuscule details. Using a macro-lense is also an obvious way to capture close-up details, although they come at a large expense.
5. Lastly: edit, edit, edit. Photoshop does wonders! If you're photo didn't turn out as expected, the adjustments tab on photoshop is perfect for slight changes that can really enhance a photo to the maximum.

Finally, take a look at a few of my favorite female photographers' work:
