When we first got to school in August, we had to adjust to a new environment... which also meant adjusting to a new culture with fresh outfits and updated style. Check out a few of our favorite looks from our first semester after the jump!

Tea Time!

Caffeine is a must in college for any girl constantly on the move, but sugary coffee drinks from Starbucks add up quickly both in cost and in calories. This is why my hot caffeinated beverage of choice is most definitely tea. I spiced up this lazy afternoon with my favorite Samurai Chai Mate and White Ayurvedic Chai blend from Teavana in my all-in-one tea maker from Tea Forte.

Throw Back Thursday

Thinking of the previous trends and fads, there's a few simply no one should miss.

1. Jeans skirts: I don't get how anyone thought these were flattering or comfortable.

It's All About The Wedge

Heels- essentially, the epitome of a "love-hate relationship". We love that they can instantly transform any outfit; however, we often find that such a transformation doesn't come effortlessly. By the end of the night, all you can think about is getting home and taking them off, and, to be frank, for all the girls that want to stay out all night, that just doesn't fly. Can't we have our cake and eat it too? Here at The College Crush, we found a solution: It's all about the wedges.

Beauty Box 5 January Goodies!

Good morning, my fellow beauty lovers!

After an exhausting day of waiting in line after line at the DMV (we've all been there...), my mood instantly brightened when I saw the telltale blue box waiting for me when I arrived home. Whether you're lounging in the sun or traipsing through the snow, sunglasses are always essential to protect your eyes from damaging UV rays while expressing your personal style. However, the latest trends of this staple fashion item are constantly changing. The easiest solution is to buy a quality pair of sunglasses that flatter both your face and your wallet.

As seasons transition from one to the next, so do trends. We find ourselves experimenting with one fad and moving onto the next. It's all fun and games until, eventually, you pull out your jewelry drawer and find yourself completely overwhelmed by the tangles, odds, and ends.

There's a reason each piece is tangled in that drawer: It's out of style. I've worn it too many times. My ex gave it to me and it'd be awkward if I wore it... the list of excuses goes on and on. It's about time we dust off the goods and give them the life they deserve-

As celebrities graced the red carpet Monday night on the Golden Globes, we couldn't help but OBSESS over their glamorous gowns in a 'get it my closet now!' sort of way.

Okay, trust me, I thoroughly realize that such a desire is simply not realistic- maybe you can't have these designer dresses in your closet (...at least now) but here I came up with a couple of fun and practical ideas as to how you can easily achieve these same effects in your everyday closet (...until you can :) ).

As a sucker for anything that sparkles, naturally, one of my absolute favorite looks of the night, worn by Lea Michele, was a glittery white gown by one of my all time favorite designers, Elie Saab.
